This carpet is directly from Carpet City Bhavani Handloom weavers. Bhavani is a town situated approximately 12 kms away from Erode, in Erode district of Tamilnadu, India. Bhavani is the joining place of two rivers namely Cauvery and Bhavani.

Bhavani is well known for its textile industry. It is also popularly known as the town of Jamakkalam. Jamakkalam is being manufactured here for more than 50 years or so.Jamakkalam manufacturing handloom machine is present in each and every house of Bhavani and its surroundings. Mostly women society in and around Bhavani are involved in production of Jamakkalam.Bhavani is well known for its textile industry. It is also popularly known as the town of Jamakkalam. Bhavani handweaven Jamakkalam is a composition of cotton thread and woollen thread.Its speciality is that its completely hand weaven.
